River Watch, LLC retained Calichi to deliver civil engineering services for a 30-unit multi-family residential development at 157 Jewett Boulevard in White Salmon, Washington. The site required a merger of two separate parcels before development could proceed. Civil scope included site and paving plans, stormwater control plans, private utility plans, a water system plan with construction details, erosion and sediment control plans, a hydrology and hydraulics report, and project coordination.
The project called for a 10-foot retaining wall along the north property line. The development creates 2,000 square feet of impervious surface, and the civil design includes infiltration facilities to handle the 25-year storm event runoff volume from that area. Construction phase services were included in the original scope.
After the initial construction documents reached 90% completion, the project required a site redesign. The civil set was rebuilt against a new site configuration, and we delivered a revised civil package.
