Who This Is For

If you’re a civil engineering firm, architecture practice, project management company, or prime design engineer taking on work outside your core focus, we handle the parts that need a focused specialist—and we do it your way.

  • General civil engineering firms extending into specialized services
  • Architectural firms needing civil support for site planning
  • Project management firms coordinating multiple consultants
  • Specialty consultants outsourcing adjacent technical work
  • Prime design engineers who need on-demand, high-quality deliverables

What We Deliver as Subconsultant

We specialize in the technical work that often becomes a bottleneck: fire flow studies, stormwater management, joint trench design, and utility coordination. All stamped by a licensed California PE, delivered on your timeline, in the format your clients expect.

Fire Flow Studies

Hydrant flow tests, EPANet modeling, pressure analysis, and stamped reports. We deliver results within 5 days of site access.

Stormwater Management (SWPPP, C.3)

Risk analysis, BMP design, and CGP-compliant plans. QSD-certified deliverables.

Joint Trench & Utility Coordination

Multi-utility coordination, conflict resolution, and will-serve letters from PG&E, SCE, water districts, and local agencies.

Grading & Erosion Control

Grading permits, erosion control plans, and support through plan check and permitting.

How We Work Together

Option 1: Under Your Logo

We produce stamped deliverables branded entirely as your work. Your logo, your letterhead, your client relationship. You handle the client interface; we handle the engineering.

Option 2: As CaliChi

We interface directly with your client, handling both the technical work and the client communication. You manage the overall project; we manage the subconsultant scope.

Option 3: Hybrid

We produce the technical work and deliverables; you decide how to present it to your client. Most flexible approach.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you brand everything under our firm, or do we see CaliChi?

Your choice. We can make every page, report, and deliverable appear to come from your firm. Or we can be visible as your subconsultant. Most firms prefer the branded approach so the work stays under their letterhead.

What’s your typical turnaround on proposals?

5 business days from scope definition. If it’s urgent, call us—we often turn them faster depending on complexity.

How do you handle QA/QC handoffs?

Every deliverable is reviewed internally, stamped, and sent to you complete. You review before final delivery to your client. If we need to revise, we absorb the cost (within scope). Your client gets perfect work.

Can you stamp deliverables for us, or do they need your stamp?

We can stamp under our PE (Reco Prianto, California and 8 other states). For some jurisdictions and clients, your stamp is required instead. We’ll coordinate with you on what the project needs.

What insurance limits do you carry?

$2M/$4M professional liability, $1M/$2M general liability. We can add your firm as additional insured on requests.

Do you work on time and materials or fixed fee?

Fixed fee preferred—we price the scope and deliver. For truly open-ended work (ongoing support, retainer), T&M is available at $175/hour.
