Chase Bank’s West Coast expansion program grew its retail footprint by more than 100 freestanding branches with drive-up services across California, Nevada, and Arizona. We served as civil engineer-of-record under a three-year master services agreement beginning in 2009, providing civil engineering design, ALTA surveying, stormwater design, and entitlement support across the portfolio.
Our scope included due diligence site analysis, boundary and topographic surveys, grading plans, drainage computations, storm drain design, water and sewer plans, utility coordination, erosion and sediment control plans, paving plans, and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans. We managed plan submittals to the applicable jurisdiction at each site, coordinated with governmental staff, and provided construction observation and record drawings through project completion.
Securing conditional use permits at more than 80 sites required running entitlement applications concurrently with local agencies across three states, each with its own zoning ordinance, submittal process, and review schedule. We attended agency hearings, tracked approval status at each location, and carried entitlement work in parallel with design and construction at other sites in the portfolio.
