Calichi provided civil engineering services for the expansion of an existing Mercedes-Benz service center in Fremont, California. The scope covered site plan, grading, drainage, and utility plans for a broad program of building and site improvements: a 6,000 sq. ft service bay expansion, building remodeling, new restrooms, electrical rooms expansion, an automated car wash, exterior vacuum bays with canopies, new in-ground lifts, fire lane improvements, and reconfiguration of 160 parking spaces.
Civil design addressed each of these program elements within the existing developed site. Grading and drainage plans covered the expanded 6,000 sq. ft service bay building footprint, the new automated car wash facility, and the vacuum bay canopy structures. Utility plans routed new services to the electrical rooms expansion, the new restrooms, and the car wash. The parking reconfiguration of 160 spaces integrated with the revised site layout. Fire lane improvements were addressed as part of the overall site design.
