Starbucks built a new 2,200 sq ft ground-up store with a drive-through in the Marina Bay neighborhood of Richmond, California. Calichi was retained for the civil engineering scope on the Meeker Avenue site, within an existing shopping center.
Calichi prepared civil construction documents covering rough grading, drainage, and stormwater control, plus site, paving, and horizontal control plans, utility plan and profiles, a Hydrology and Hydraulics Report, and a Stormwater Treatment Measures Operation and Maintenance Agreement. Calichi also performed erosion and sediment control planning, building permit documentation, peer review of existing conditions and demolition plans, and design team coordination. Alongside the improvement plans, Calichi carried a parcel map from tentative approval through final recordation with the City of Richmond.
The result was a complete civil permit set for a new ground-up Starbucks with drive-through in Richmond’s Marina Bay. Calichi’s scope ran from rough grading design through final parcel map recordation with the City of Richmond.
